Anyone have or know of someone who drives a Leaf?

I haven't heard much about them yet and was just wondering what the consensus is so far.

Re: Anyone have or know of someone who drives a Leaf?

  • I'm all for electric cars, but not until we have the renewable electricity to support them.  If you buy electric now, you really should research what type of fossil fuel is used to generate the electricity for your home.  Here in the northeast, our electricity comes from coal.  Coal creates much, much more greenhouse gases than gasoline, and burns much dirtier also.  Here in VA our electricity also comes from mountaintop strip mining, which has ruined dozens of communities in West VA due to water pollution, not to mention the stripping off of the top of a mountain!

Electric cars may be the "hot thing" right now, but they're not green if they run on coal-powered electricity.
