I don't think there's really anything wrong about this situation. But it made me uncomfortable anyway.
ILs
visited us a couple of weekends ago. First thing FIL said was "OK,
there is something I *have* to do," and I thought, great he's going to
rub my belly. But instead he stood beside me and wanted to "compare"
bellies. Apparently the ladies at work have been teasing him about
gaining weight or something. OK, whatever, we laughed about it.
Then before they left, he said, "I have a request. Can you please take a picture of your belly and send it to me?" He said something about proving it to the ladies at work.
Maybe that on its own
wouldn't have been weird but the awkward part was that MIL responded,
"Honestly [FIL], who DOES that?" and then they got into a little
argument, her saying it was strange to request the picture and him saying it
was completely innocent and he was just proud of his DIL.
I don't know why I'm weirded out by it. It's not like I'm a super
private - I mean I've posted bump pics on here and FB. But I feel awkward about sending him one.

Re: Why am I weirded out by this? Kinda BR
I think I would be weirded out by that too. I mean I get the comparing bellies thing, (BIL did this to me when I was pregnant), but to send a picture to FIL and show everyone at the office? I would keep forgetting as well. That really isn't necessary to go to that extent.
BTW you look fabulous. I saw your FB picture the other day.

Yeah, a little weird. I wouldn't be surprised if my FIL would do the same thing though.
