Happy Earth Day! Is anyone doing anything special to celebrate?
Poor timing on our part, and it's not exactly a celebration, but we are cutting down a tree tonight (weather pending.) My dad knows how to take the tree down - it is what my grandfather did for work while my dad was growing up, and he's done it many times since. It's horribly ironic that we are going to cut down a tree on earth day, but it's a nasty old ash tree that is dropping dead branches all of the time and it leans slightly over our house.. so it's for the best. I promise to plant two trees to replace it, though!

If you bring a mug they will fill it with the coffee of the day for free. Caribou is doing the same thing.
Happy Earth Day! I'm not doing anything special...but I am going to try and complete a draft of a chapter of my dissertation... it's on an earth-saving kind of topic, so... yeah....that's my celebration, I guess
I painted with no-voc paint yesterday and today I'm switching out the last three light bulbs for energy efficient ones and changing the furnace filter.
Well, I'm also composting but I do that regularly so...
I'm enjoying my free Caribou right now.
I found it hilarious and terribly ironic that someone printed out Caribou's ad for free coffee and brought it in with them, along with their reusable mug.

I reused my coffee sleeve today. :-) It's small but those things are TOTALLY reusable!!!!
Our admin disconnected all printers for four hours. We rarely have a need to print - we even have dual monitors now - but some people are piiised.
