Curious if you went to the Waukee Easter Egg Hunt and how well organized it is if you did. I fear if it is just a huge herd, G might not enjoy it. I want to try one out just not sure what direction to head. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow or we will just skip it.
Re: Lucylea
We went last year and they had it sectioned off so each age group had their own section. It was kind of a large herd of kids, but even last year Sophia had a great time and got lots of good treats. People were very good about getting the older kids in each group to run to the far end so the little kids had a better chance. I would recommend getting there early, though. There were people showing up just as everyone started and I fear those kids didn't get a very good shot.
After the hunt the Easter Bunny came and set up a station for pictures and each kid got a goodie bag. If we hadn't had one one hunt already with two more coming up on Sunday we would definitely go again.
We went to the Waukee hunt last year and got there close to the start and my son was one of those that didn't have a chance. He was almost 2 and I think he got 5 pieces of candy while the bigger kids were running circles snatching up everything. We didn't see anything that divided the ages.
We're going to try a different hunt this year.
