cute or stupid idea?
We're having some friends over for dinner on Sunday and I wanted to do
an egg hunt. I suggested to DH that I fill some of the plastic eggs with
"Eastery" fortunes (i.e. You will have an "eggsellent" week.) instead
of candy. He was lukewarm on the idea. If you opened a fortune egg, what would you think?

I am super cheesy so I would love it.
I am probably not the best person to respond.
I think it's cute. It would be even cuter if you served Chinese food for Easter, but I don't care all that much for ham and would love that.
I might throw in a piece of chocolate or something similar along with the fortune for good measure, though, so maybe those who are expecting chocolate aren't disappointed.
I've filled about 2/3 of the eggs with candy, and I'm going to put fortunes in the last 24 eggs. I need 5 more fortunes though; can anybody help? Here's what I have so far:
You will have a "hoppy" week.
You will take an "eggcellent" trip this year.
Some "bunny" will soon ask your advice.
You will eat something delicious today.
You will buy lots of Easter candy at 50% off.
A small furry creature will visit your house.
Good news will come from an "Easter"ly direction.
You will soon receive something made of 24 "carrots."
Someone will try to "egg" you on; don't listen to them.
You'll get lots of "eggs"ercise this week.
You will soon get a "peep" of good things to come.
You will have a great "hare" day.
Good things will come in small baskets.
Someone is "dyeing" to meet you.
All the "chicks" will flock to you.
All your chocolate bunnies will be solid.
All lima beans will change into jelly beans on your plate.
You will spend time hanging with your "peeps."
Go ahead and "ham" it up; you'll be the hit of the party!
