*ering* (or other DC area girls)
We are visiting friends who live in Rockville, MD this weekend. Other friends of ours live in Bristow, VA, and we are all trying to gtg for dinner Friday. Neither set of friends is familiar with the other's areas (both just moved to their respective towns), but a co-worker of one friend suggested meeting in Fairfax Corner. Do you know of any restaurants that are close to there that are good? We will have an 8 and a 3 month old with us, and there needs to be pasta or seafood options, since it's Good Friday.

i just google mapped zefferilli's in herndon and it is the exact same distance (~30-40 mins) from both places. great homemade pasta and while it has table clothes and nice plates it should be fine for kids too. it wasn't a hush, hush quiet spot. there are also a few other places in old town herndon that are nice.
you can try reston town center as well. clyde's is always decent for a low key dinner. i would definitely get reservations though. http://www.restontowncenter.com/iframe/pop-ups/dining_a-z.htm
those are the out in the burbs places. both dc and old town alexandria are pretty much equi-distant too. and if today is any indication, people have fled the city because of spring break...... there are some tourists but the traffic is non-existent. if dc or alexandria are options i have a few more spots for you.
