Friday. For Real This Time
So I know many ppl aren't planning to be around today, so I figured I'd start the daily good morning thread.
Last night, B and I met up with some friends to watch the Bulls and Hawks games. They both won, so it was very exciting. Especially the Hawks game. It was a total shut out, and Vancouver ended up pulling their goalie about half way through the second period. Aside from that, not too much is going on. I'm ready for the weekend!

Re: Friday. For Real This Time
No work for me today so I actually have a chance to nest for once!
Today I plan on getting some cleaning and organzing done around the house. If we plan on buying Mark's Aunt's house and selling ours (all before the end of the summer) then maybe I should start! I'm hoping to get a workout in and then it's off to mass.
Tomorrow is a big day for me! At Easter Vigil I will be baptized, confirmed and have my first communion. I'm pretty excited.
Sunday will be long run day and then dinner at the ILs for Easter/MILs birthday. After dinner we plan on taking her to see the movie African Cats. She loves animals and has actually fostered baby tigers in the past so I think it's perfect.
Yesterday was a good day and I am sad my vacation is coming to an end. We have had crappy weather, so I haven't done as much as I planned and now next week is supposed to be nice--figures. Yesterday I had a three and half hour lunch with my student teacher from last year. We catch up every few months so it was nice to see her. Then I came home and started painting the entryway--God, I am sick of painting, but the house is almost done--just one more hallway needs painting and we can list the house!
Today I am going to get in a run (should be doing 5-6 miles, but we'll see how it goes...). Then I am going to see my best friend--we are doing dinner, movie, and hot tub tonight and then tomorrow knocking down bird nests in her barn (that she and her FI are renovating into a house). Fun times!
We have NO Easter plans, which is kind of exciting. Ed and I haven't had a holiday without family or friend obligations in years. I am thinking we'll do brunch, I get in a long run, paint the hallway, and then eat Easter candy all night.

Happy Friday! I have the day off today so I'm around for a bit. I think we're going to vote at the advance polls for the Canadian federal election today. Normally we'd just do it on election day, but because we moved, we have to re-register and I'll have to wait a long time in line if I wait until then. Other than that, we're going to church this afternoon and then out for fish & chips with the choir afterwards (Good Friday tradition).
I'm way excited because yesterday I found out that the university is closed on Monday... yay for a surprise day off!!

Good morning, ladies!
Today's a holiday for me, and I took yesterday off, so it's a big 4-day weekend. The dog has the final follow-up visit with her orthopedic surgeon vet, and after that I'm taking her swimming. It's been a long winter indoors with her surgery, and she loves to swim so much.
I wanted to be outdoors all weekend, but it's going to be cold and windy, with a chance of snow. Boo.
Have a great day, everyone!
Congratulations rxbeth!! Enjoy the celebration, I will be thinking of you!

Aww...thanks. This whole journey has just been amazing.
Beth, congrats! However, I'm a bit confused. Isn't baptism, confirmation, and first communion things ppl generally do when they are kids?
hey ladies!
if any of you shop at NY&Co, I would suggest taking a gander in there this weekend. I went to find jeans last night and saved SO much money. pretty much the entire store was BOGO50% off, so I picked up two pairs of jeans, three pairs of earrings, and a bracelet and my total came to $104. and then the sales associate told me to text the number 50 to some weird number and I got a code back, which discounted my total ANOTHER $50. pretty sweet.
anyway, so I got new jeans last night. tonight I'm going to a friend's house and tomorrow I'm (hopefully) getting the sleeve finished. only color left to do is the Old Bay Seasoning, and then it's all background stuff. we're having dinner with Sean's parents on Sunday and at some point, I've got to put together our bookcase this weekend... my books are taking over!
have a great weekend everyone!

Good Morning.
I'm here and already counting down the minutes. Hopefully our boss lets us leave early today. He usually does but it is pretty crazy around here so maybe not this time.
Tonight we are having dinner with some friends.
Tomorrow is the IL Easter celebration. We do an adult egg hunt, dinner and just visiting. Should be a good time.
Sunday we may go try out a new church. We are still looking since we moved. We will also have to get the normal chores done.
Have a great Friday and weekend ladies!
Congratulations! I was also confirmed as an adult about 18 years ago. It is a wonderful experience. Enjoy! I will also be thinking of you!
Stupid me I was so excited for RxBeth, I forgot my update.
Nothing new, DH came home from work lastnight a little after 8, hit the pillow and was snoring. So tonight will probably be the same.
The only thing exciting this weekend is church on Sunday and dinner with my MIL. Then a visit to my dad.
Happy Easter everyone!
I'm at work today, but I at least got to sleep in and come in late. I had no idea traffic would be so bad at 10:00 today. Oh well. Hopefully it's not too bad this afternoon. I just want to go home and sleep some more.
Tonight will be game night and dinner with some friends. Tomorrow and Sunday is general lounging and who knows what. I'm sure we'll find something to make the weekend go by. I do at least want to get in a walk, but it's looking like rain, so we'll see.
I'm hoping to maybe see my DH today or this weekend. He traveled Sunday-Wed and didn't get home until after midnight Thursday morning. He had meetings all day yesterday and a mandatory dinner, he came rolling into bed about 11:45. I'm getting cranky about the lack of communication on work stuff.
No plans this weekend, we don't do anything fo Easter. If it stays nice, I'd like to get out for a bike ride or a walk, fresh air would be good for me.
Have a great weekend, ladies!
If your parents decided to raise you Catholic from the beginning, then yes. However a lot of people decide later in life to become Catholic.

Happy Good Friday and Happy Earth Day!
Mandee- that's an awesome deal I need to go check it out for sure!
Tonight we're having dinner with J's parents. Tomorrow is grocery shopping and I need to get a b-day gift for my older sister and Easter gifts for my nephews. Sunday we're having Easter dinner with my family.
Sorry that I'm late getting back...busy afternoon.
But, yeah, what ringy said. I wasn't raised in any religion and decided that this is something I wanted and needed to do. I had to go to weekly classes for RCIA (right of Christian initation of adults) and the ultimate goal is to be baptized (if you aren't under any other religion), confirmed and first communion all at Easter Vigil.
Thanks for the well wishes.
