planning my baby's half birthday party! lol!
yes, i'm a dork! we celebrate the first half birthday - it's really more of a celebration that dh and i survived! lol
i ordered her cake today - and we'll get pizza. i invited our parents and local siblings and s/o - i think it's a terrific excuse to par-tay!
shoprite in ramsey nj made us the cutest half bday cake for ava - they cut a circle in half, layered it, and stood it on it's side and them decorated it with clowns. i called my shoprite and they just didn't get it...so yes, i ordered from ramsey and will frive 25 minutes to get a birthday cake for a non-existant birthday. i'm that kind of mom! looney.

This doesn't sound weird at all to me. I say the more we can celebrate, the better. I'm actually considering throwing Mini a half-birthday party next winter so we can invite her whole class. We'll see what the turnout is if we have a party for her real birthday this summer.
And your half cake? Brilliance!
im with mags its a great idea to party!! ... & i dont think your crazy at all. Whenever we have a party in NJ mostly close to Ds house i go back to my hometown shoprite because i like the bakery there better! lol
