Hello Everyone!
I just found out that we are relocating to West Coast Florida sometime soon. May be living anywhere from Naples up to Tampa. I am terrified of the creepy crawlys; especially spiders. I've heard they have fur down there! Just wondering if its a problem? How often do you see them? I just don't know how I'll ever be able to get any sleep with images of them being in my home/on my bed/etc. Help!
Re: Spiders!
Aw, youre post made me giggle! DH and I had once contemplated moving to Texas or Arizona, and when we saw the size of the creepy crawlies I was awake for like two night straight!
We have not had a bad spider problem, and I am TERRIFIED of them. I did see some hairy ones at my grandas house over on the east coast right after her house was built. But, I think it was more because they had cut down a bunch of trees to build and probably disrupted some of them. We live in a pretty rural area, and I have never seen hairy ones. I havent even really seen big ones...just your average spider here and there.
When we lived in the northeast, you did not have your home sprayed for bugs, but dont here it is a way of life. So every few months our pesticide people come and spray. I never see anything, and when I do, it is usually RIGHT around the time they are scheduled to come and spray. So you should be good!
I am surprised I havent seen more creepy crawlies in my house because our yard backs up to acres and acres of orange groves and I heard that can attract lots of things, but I haven't. So, I would say you are good to go!
Welcome!
