So, it seems like most people I know are telling me to either go with Dr. Browns or Evenflo.
I have heard that Dr. Browns are good for colicy (sp?) babies but can sometimes leak. I have been told that Evenflo is good b/c of the wide opening at the top ( easier to pour powdered formula in ).
What are your thoughts and why do you like the brand you chose?
Have you tried other brands? Why didn't you like those?

Re: BR: Bottles
We used Playtex Ventaire. We liked them a lot because both the top and bottom comes off so they were super easy to clean, and they're angled so that reduces the amount of air baby takes in, thus reducing gas and colic.
My sister used Dr. Brown's at first and she hated them because they leaked a LOT. She started just using the Medela bottles that came with her pump and those worked much better for her.
We're using the Avent bottles. So far, Evie likes them. She doesn't seem to be too gassy afterward. They also have an "anti-colic" ring.
Baby Bargains recommends Avent and Dr. Brown's. A friend of mine and my mom suggested them also.

We use Born Free and I really like them. I haven't used any other ones with him to compare to though.
I have used a million of the various kinds in general but they depend on the baby too so I can't say if one was better than the other.
Alot of people suggest getting a few to try at first to see if your baby likes them before investing in a ton. I didn't do this lol. I had 12 Born Free bottles and just only washed and sterilized 3 before he arrived to find out if he would use them.

LOVE Bornfree bottles! No leaking, prevents gascolic, and works well with breastfed and formulafed babies... I know because I've done both
Totally worth the price...
Angela, my cousin uses these:

They've only been out about a year here in the US and she says they're awesome. She tried EVERYTHING and her baby wouldn't take a bottle at all until she found these.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Ditto on not buying a bunch of one type. You never know what your kid is going to prefer. I dont remember if you said you were going to breastfeed, Mo.
You could add one or two of different brands to your registry. People love to buy bottles.
