    ***Butting in***

Orange kittens are spawns of satan.

    That is all.

Really no, j/k but my stepmom's old cat was a miser.  That little jerk bit me every chance he got.  His name was Ronnie, or Sir Ronald... and for some reason he hated me... and now my grammie has a orange and white kitten named Sammy who is rotten as well, he bites and is a jerk to my grandmother, she has more scars on her hand from the past few months it's crazy. She's threatened to give him up a few times, even went so far as to bring him to my dad's house and then cried because she missed him and went back to get him. Every orange cat anyone in my family has ever had was nuts.

so in short... good luck :)

  • No, we did go to the Waterville shelter to check out a 2 year old orange cat that happened to already be named Cecil. That's what DH wants to name the cat.

Cecil refused to come out of his cubbie and had a younger cat acting like his bodyguard. Every time we moved the young cat to get a look a Cecil it would run right back. We decided to pass on Cecil to find a more cuddly cat, or at least one who shows some interest.

We got on the kitten waiting list at Waterville, but they said there is a lot of demand and to not expect much.

We couldn't find the Somerset Skowhegan one, I put the address into tomtom, but tomtom said we had reached our destination in the middle of Fairfield. We drove through Skowhegan to Newport, but didn't see it. There was a tiger kitten there we were going to look at.

The Somerset one is right near the hospital  (Reddington Fairview Hospital I think) in Skowhegan. So if you go out that way again, you might have better luck getting directions for that instead. I know they have had issues with the address online for the shelter. I thought they had fixed it, but I guess not. There were 3 tiger kittens there when I went last week and all really cuddly and cute. I can bring one (or all 3) back for you tomorrow. If you hear scratching at your front door tomorrow morning, don't be surprised if there are 3 kittens out there Wink  LOL

hmm we'll have to try again. DH wants to go up to Bangor tomorrow to check it out, but he is really supposed to work tomorrow. I know he would love it if a kitten showed up at the door.
