Sweeper/Mini-vacuum in kitchen area

Do any of you have a quick little floor sweeper thing to get the crumbs around the kitchen table? I'm looking for something really lightweight that does a decent job. I had a little Shark floor sweeper but it doesn't work, and finding a replacement battery is next to impossible. Thanks!

Re: Sweeper/Mini-vacuum in kitchen area

  • I have a dirt devil sweeper vac that I bought at Target for really cheap, and I find it picks up everything and is really light weight.

  • I have the swivel sweeper.  They have an upgraded one at amazon of bed bath and beyond, but I bought the original, because it has a handle I can take apart and shorten.  It's my 4 yr old's favorite toy and now saves me so much time!  There have been problems with batteries because the original charger sort of eats batteries unless you fully drain them and charge for exactly 8 hours.  So I bought a better charger that you can use whenever and will shut off automatically, and an extra battery.  All from amazon and paid about $60 for all 3 things.
  • I also have a little Dirt Devil vac that I got at Target for about $18, and I think I like it more than my big vacuum.  I keep ours upstairs in the laundry room and use it for the upstairs, but I found that it's way better on bare floors than my regular one and use it downstairs now too.  I think it maybe weighs like 3 pounds, and I recommend it to everyone.
