Insomnia has hit in a big way. What are your tricks for trying to get to sleep when you're awake?!

I have not slept great in the past year or so, so I would like to know the tricks too.
I just try to make myself go to sleep but sometimes that doesn't work.
Hopefully you can get a nap in as I know how you feel.

This... or read a book. Pregnancy makes insomnia a bear for me. I am up about 3-4 hrs a night at least 5 nights a week =(. Not easy with a toddler, especially one with sleep radar. He goes down and if I try to sneak a nap during his nap, he instantly wakes up upon my dozing. If I stay awake during his naptime, he easily naps for 1 1/2 - 2 hours... without fail... grrrrrr!

Sorry Kellie! This was me all over when I was pregnant! I was up at 4 every day!
Now when Lucie wakes to eat around 5 I can never seem to fall back to sleep, I also, like Carrie, just keep my eyes closed but it doesn't seem to work! Hope it was just a one off and you're sleeping better now!
