what's everyone doing this weekend?
did we already discuss?
i have a bridal shower tomorrow and we are going to the zoo to see the lion cubs sunday (i have since made up with regarding project birthday). we are not doing anything for easter. we are not religious. some years mil makes dinner but not this year. i wonder if the zoo will be more or less crowded because it's easter. i hope everyone stays away. it's supposed to be really nice weather-wise.

Re: what's everyone doing this weekend?
Easter is one of my favorite holidays! Today ill spend my day taking care of the husband ( hes in a lot of pain from the gas) and baking pies for my mil's tonight. We will go down there tonight, eat dinner and dye easter eggs.. Tomorrow is my day to host the family so my parents, brother, sister in law, fil, mil, and 4 nephews will be up here.. I have about 100 eggs to hide for an easter egg hunt and then ill have too much food to serve...
hopefully tomorrow we can relax (as much as you can with an almost 16 month old)
zoo sounds so fun! we wanted to go the other weekend but decided to wait till fall so im not mega pregnant
Sunday is my brother and my birthday, so the weekend is full of birthday-related festivities.
Yesterday I had off so I had my Nephew and we dyed Easter eggs. Yay for multi-colored little fingers!
Last night my brother had a party at his house, so we went there for a while.
Today I have to do some grocery shopping, pick up dry cleaning, stop by my Aunt/Uncle's house for a bit and then we're going to dinner at a local tapas place with my brother and his fiance.
Tomorrow is Easter/Birthday lunch with my family,. I have to make a bunch of deviled eggs before lunch. Then just spending the rest of the day with hubs and baking some coconut cupcakes to bring into work on Monday. MIL is being a total b*tch (what else is new?) so we're not seeing them tomorrow. Oh well!

Today will be uneventful. H is working 10-10, so K and I are home all day. Hopefully today will be better than yesterday. He's got awful diaper rash, so diaper changes were filled with screams. Especially since he pooped 3 times. Fingers crossed that it is better today.
I'll also have to give him a bath and take his 10 month photo today. Yesterday was just an off day for us, plus I tutored from 10-3. That really threw our whole day off.
Tomorrow I think we're doing something with H's family. I know SIL/BIL and kids are up visiting, but no plans have been made for doing anything. Guess we'll play it by ear. I'm just thankful that H has the whole day off!
My Profile
Today Im not sure what I am going to do. My little brother (8yr old half brother) is having his birthday party at a bowling alley at noon. I RSVP maybe b/c I thought we were going to the beach this weekend. I just dont really feel like seeing my dad or step mother so I probably wont go. My sister in law is going to be in town tonight so I think we are having dinner together. Not sure when or where yet. H's boss gave him a ticket to see the Caps play today so thats where he will be.
Tomorrow we will go to church with H's family, breakfast with his family, and then lunch/dinner with his family. Had I known MIL was going to have a breakfast too we would have just did that and then gone to PA to see my family. Love how she drops breakfast on me at the last min!
Friday - had the day off b/c it was Good Friday (My agency is Lutheran) so that was nice. I showed the apartment to some people and then went to a friend's house for a hand-made pocketbook party. Scored a really cute bag too. (Think Vera Bradley style) Then, H's family friend from Ankorage (Ancorage? Anckorage? How the F do you spell that city?!?!) went to graduate school in CT and is probably getting a job close by so she came to look at the apartment with her boyfriend. We're hopeful it works out b/c it would be GREAT to have family/friends upstairs from us. Then we went to dinner at a hibachi japanese restaurant. We had a great time.
Today (Saturday) - I worked out this morning, showed the apartment to one couple (really nice too, which was nice) and the other two appts I have cancelled on me so now I'm back in my pj's trying to bang out some serious school work. I have a lot due Tuesday and Wednesday that I need to get done today since tomorrow is Easter and I'm working Monday.
Sunday - Easter! 4pm dinner at my parents' house. We usually do nothing for Easter but for whatever reason my parents wanted to host. So we're heading down there for the evening. Should be nice to spend time with my neice and nephew also.
Friday, we ended up having ILs watch DD so we could go out with DH's friends to dinner and hang out for a while.
Saturday, cleaning, cooking, prepping for Easter, decorating eggs, watching Dora Egg Hunt.
Sunday, bunny comes, breakfast, church, hosting my parents, bros, SIL, and my grandma for dinner.
I feel like a lot of families are doing this too. DH's grandparents called us up to get together for dinner and we obviously had plans prior to a couple days before the holiday. They never do anything for it.. who knows. I think the parents/grandparents are just more using it as an excuse to see all their kids. That is all I can think bc my family and DH's family never did and now they all want to g2g.
My parents pretty much stopped hosting anything that was just my immediate family once my sister and I stopped talking. Now that we're "friends" again, she is having family dinners like once a year. It's nothing special.
