T&P for my dad, please

My dad's had some trouble with his pancreas off and on for the past 10 years or so.  On Wednesday, he had a routine endoscopy to take a biopsy and make sure everything was ok.  This triggered a pancreatic attack, and he was rushed back into the hospital because of the extreme pain he was in.  He's on a no food/no liquid diet (to let the pancreas start to heal as much as possible), so he's getting everything IV.  I went up to visit  him yesterday (he's in Philly, I'm staying at my parent's place in NJ) and he's on a steady regime of pain meds to keep him comfortable.

I really just hate to see him like this--he's my dad; he's always been the strong support for me and to see him so sick, in a hospital bed, with a bunch of tubes and meds has really just shaken me.

The doctor says he'll need to stay for a few more days until the pain subsides enough for him to begin to be able to process food.  The biopsy was clean, and his pancreas isn't TOO enlarged, so there's no cancer and no surgery.

We would appreciate any thoughts and prayers if you could send them his way...

Thank you.
