Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Pupdate on my mommy's doggin -- GOOD news!
Despite the issues with closing the wound post-toe-amputation, we got some excellent news today -- they were able to get clean margins! For those lucky enough to not have had to deal with tumor removal procedures, this means that they are confident that themy took out the entire mass of the original tumor. They also took out the closest lymph node, which I didn't realize they had done (stressed mom tends to miss details. heh). So it's looking like they MAY be able to avoid radiation all together! It also seems like he will tolerate the loss of the toe fairly well -- they're actually having to come up with ways to STOP him from putting his weight on it so he heals better.
They are still having some issues with wound healing, so he's still in the hospital and may still need a graft if things don't start healing quickly. He'll also likely still get several rounds of chemo in case there are any cancer cells floating around looking for somewhere to call home... but this is GREAT news. Yay!
