If you had one night in Orlando

What would you do? We'll be there for a night next week, and I think I was 8 the last time I was there. Any dinner recommendations or shows or anything like that?

Re: If you had one night in Orlando

  • For one night, I would want to get a really, really great meal...I would chose Fishbones.  Its not as good as Joe's Stone in Miami but it is pretty close.

It is located on Sand Lake Road.

  • La Nouba, the Cirque du Soleil show at Downtown Disney is my favorite out of all the ones I've seen- really amazing!  If you are a steak lover and want to stay in the Disney area, Shula's in the Dolphin hotel is wonderful.  My husband and I went there during our honeymoon.
  • Thanks, gals! We're going to the shuttle launch, and since I've got finals the next week it will be an incredibly quick trip...it's just one of things that's always been a dream of H's. Since the Endeavor will stop launching soon, we had to fit it in pretty fast.

I'm so incredibly jealous. I've always wanted to see a shuttle launch, and now I'm never going to get to.  Crying A coworker/friend of DH's drove to FL by himself last month for the past shuttle launch. If I had known he was going, I might have gone with him.

    Are you driving or flying?

You'll have one more chance in June, I think, and that's just for Endeavor. That's the last one, and they'll start launches of the new shuttle next, from what I understand. H just wanted to Endeavor in particular...he went to space camps in the summer about Endeavor and such when he was a kid. We're flying due to my school schedule. It's going to take some good luck, too...we're hoping the darn thing doesn't get scrubbed due to weather or something else unforeseen.

  • I would eat at Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian. I'm not sure if it's still any good or not, but back in the day it was awesome.
