Ladies,
I'm sure someone here has been to Eureka Springs, AR in the last couple of years, right? I booked a lovely little B&B for our 5-year anniversary. We have to eat something besides breakfast, so I was hoping someone could make some lunch/snack/dinner recommendations
I'm also up for recs for things to do, places to shop, and nightlife, if you have those as well.
I am so looking forward to this little vacation, even if it's just a weekend, it's something!

Re: Eureka Springs
I've never been there, but I've noticed that Living Social often has deals for Eureaka Springs. I wonder if you could get some food ideas from there. While theoretically you could eat at the same place the whole trip, I'm not sure why on earth you'd want to. Vacations are a great time to try new things!
A girlfriend of mine is also doing Opera in the Ozarks there right now. I'm not sure if their performances coincide with your visit, but it may be worth looking into. We'll probably go see her later in the summer, so please let me know if you discover any tasty places to eat.
While some do, this one doesn't. They provide snacks in the afternoons, but breakfast only for meals. Thanks for the incredibly helpful answer.
I don't want to spend the entire time at the B&B. Part of a vacation for me is getting out and trying new things. There are a bunch of places, but I don't always trust online reviews.
Amanjay--Opera in the Ozarks sounds like a lovely idea
I'll look and see if I can find any info out about their performances. We'll be going after school gets out around mid-May. And I will definitely let you know if we find any local culinary gems!
I'm evidently, in Allison's mind, unable to use the interwebz for Googling things.
I like word-of-mouth recommendations better, and have already done a lot of cyber legwork. Oh well.
I know you can't always trust online reviews, but I've found some good restaurants on Urban Spoon. Perhaps the staff at the B&B will have some good recommendations?
What about a ghost tour? I've never been on one, but my mom loved the one she went on in Charleston.
I'm really considering doing this; even H was on board with it, which surprised me a little bit!
I'm mostly looking for recs from people I know because we'll only have a couple of days, so if I could narrow down all those Urbanspoon listings to the top few, it would be helpful, because a BUNCH of restaurants in Eureka get high marks.
Thank you! Writing it down.
Ah, a helpful response
Checking it out now!
Hi! My fiance and I went to Eureka Springs about a year ago for a weekend and had a great time. We stayed at the Crescent Hotel. I honestly don't remember and of the restaurants being FANSTASTIC, so I can't really help you there.
But, the little shops down town are a lot of fun to walk around in... that is mostly what we did when we went.
We went on the Ghost Tour at the Crescent Hotel and that was really good and a lot of fun. If you want to get pampered they have an amazing spa at the Crescent and I would recommend it to anyone needing to have a mani/pedi!
