Sick Dog Update
We put our 10 year old Boxer, Madison, down this morning. It's been a heartbreaking day. I don't know what is harder, having Madison gone or seeing how heartbroken DH is. He NEVER cries. Ever. He's been crying on and off all day and it kills me. 
Obviously I expected and understand.
The vet we found to do this was SO great. She was very professional and caring and compassionate. Her name is Dr. Rebecca McComas - minnesotapets.net. She comes and does it in your home. She was great. DH called her this morning at 9:30 and she was here at noon.

Oh, I am so sorry... I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose my two sweet boxers... and we put my parent's lab to sleep last year, and when I think of her the pain is still fresh.
SO glad you could put her to sleep in your own home - what a peaceful transition for her that must have been. I am sending your family many good thoughts to help you get through this.

She is at peace now and not in pain. I know that doesn't so much to ease your pain right now but it is true! It's such a sad time. Be sad. Cry. Remember the good times with Madison... time will heal your hearts.
