Ok, so yeah I totally take back my comment "no complaints whatsoever regarding BRU in nanuet". Today I went to use my 10% registry completion and of course the jogger I bought is not included. Allright, that's more of a manufacturer thing so I can't complain but salesguy points out that any stroller or carseat over $150 comes w a free umbrella stroller and he shows me where the "free" ones are located. Fast forward to register- I have $350 worth of gift cards so I'm not planning on comming out of my pocket for anything. The total is over. I look at my receipt and realize I was charged about $20 for the umbrella stroller. Cashier says let me call the manager because it should be free. Manager looks at the receipt and blames me for the mix up. She says I used a 20% off coupon so I got 20% off the umbrella stroller. Biacth- 1st of all I only used one coupon - my 10% registry completion and 2nd of all, if I did have a coupon for 20% off one item (I used them already) why the eff would I use it on something that's FREE? Then manager goes back and forth trying to figure things out, comes back to ask me if I want to purchase extra protection for the jogger. Ugh no, just refund my $20 so I can get out of this store. Then she brings me a store credit for $20. Why should I get store credit for an item I didn't want in the first place when I just paid $44 of my own money ? (the amount my items went over the gift cards) Sorry if this post is a long and confusing rant. I'm a 9 month pregnant lady who doesn't have time for this mess right now!
Re: bridezilla
OMG, they are a fuucking joke over there!! I swear, the old manager Beth who I dealt with was the only person in the store who knew what they were doing. She was laid off for some reason or another and the women that replaced her ROYALLY SUUUUCK!! I'm so sorry that you had that lovely experience today. I don't understand why they didn't refund you your own damn money though!!!
I have about $400 in gift cards to that store as well. After they are gone, no way in h.ell will I give them a dime of my own money!!!
BRU is horrible everywhere. I think the one in yonkers fears when I walk in the door. I ended up with 4 of the same chair from my registry and they blamed my guests for the error stating they didn't give the registry to the cashier, which might be possible if 1 of them wasn't my mom. Then I had to return the one chair I kept 2 times because they gave me USED chairs. One was missing pieces and the other was obviously a return since the previous owner returned it with their baby shower card still in it.
Also when you do returns watch the register while they process it. When I returned 3 of the 3 chairs they tried to give me less than full credit. Their reason was that I didn't have a receipt and only 1 chair was marked off on my registry. But they originally told me it was because my guests used a coupon, they couldn't manage to mark it as purchased on my registry but they somehow knew a coupon was used...
