We adopted a kitten-ish cat today!
Is it a true kitten? not really.
Is it orange? not really.
Is it a boy we can name Cecil? no.
8 month old tortoiseshell female who is very friendly. We also stole her out from under some people who had looked at her last night and came in to get her just as we decided to get her. Felt a little bad about that.
We have to wait until Tuesday to pick her up b/c she is not fixed yet.
There is no picture in her petfinder profile.
Looking to re-name, but haven't got any girl names (we were Team Blue without a back-up plan in case the U/S was wrong
).

Re: kitty
Yay for kitties!
An eight month old still has plenty of kitten left in her. I don't think cats start to calm down until they get past 2 years.
If I were to get a female tortiseshell cat, I think I'd name her Sophie. I tend to like human names for cats. So far I've had a Quincy and a Henry.
We have a Sofi, a Hermione and a Chloe(the Wonder Kitty), all of which I think are pretty fabulous names... I too like human names for cats... growing up we had Dizzey and Izzey and they just seemed a little silly (I was also hoping that my mom would name Sofi Lizzey just to keep it going... but she didn't go for it)
I like Maisy, Lucy, Hazel or Amelia also.
I love the name Chloe. That's my top name if we have a baby girl...too bad DH hates that name.
I also love human names for cats. Our last cat was named Helen.
Good luck with the new kitty!
Ok, I read DH your names and we looked on websites.
I wanted Ella, He said he could like Ellie
So we are naming her Eloise as a compromise and then she can be nn Ella or Ellie. but mostly Ella
This made me lmfao! I was at work when I read it the first time. We had a Lucy before too. I think Eloise is going to be sweet!
My daughter Eloise (an Ellie) will be very pleased.
