Where to find info re: DVR-ing the royal wedding?
I want to DVR the wedding and any other fun coveratge before/after the wedding.
Anyone else plan to do this? Are you going to go with Channel 4? The only reason I was thinking about that is because the Today show keeps mentioning that they'll have lots of coverage.
My four year old really wants to see a real life prince and princess. She thinks that princesses live "in another world" (like the Easter Bunny and leprechauns - I wasn't the one to tell her that BTW, she figured those two out by herself). I told her that actually there are princesses in this world.
Anyway, obviously my four year old is not going to sit through hours of coverage, but I thought I'd tape it and show her the fun parts. Whatever they may be.
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

I'm DVR'ing the BBC's coverage which I think is also going to be on MPT (md's PBS which I get in Arlington, oddly). NBC4 is definitely having coverage as well...I think starting at 3am EST.
I'm really excited about this. Apparently, my mom was sick on Charles & Di's wedding so I didn't go to daycare, thus I "watched" it (I wasn't even a year old yet!) and I'm excited to "watch" it with Sprouter too. He's going to get a teething biscuit for the occasion & I'm going to have some tea & biscuits I brought back from Fortnum & Mason!
LOL! I love this!
Yesterday's Post had a section on what channels were broadcasting when. All four major networks (MAYBE not Fox?), WETA, BBC, TLC and I think Lifetime or Oxygen or some other chick channel.
I'm not even a huge royal watcher but if I weren't out of town and if it weren't on Friday I'd totally throw a slumber party with alarms going off at 5 am and gallons of coffee. I just think it'd be an awesome guilty pleasure to hang out in pjs with friends on the bed drinking coffee, eating pastries and watching 'waitie katie' get her man.
Dear BGP,
Funny you say that, I am just now creating my invites for our party (yeah, it is late, but all the girls know they are invited; this is more a formality). I was about to make a post asking for critiques so I will just C&P it here.
The "blanks" are spaceholders to keep rhythm in places I don't want public information.
"A wedding ahead of us,
not a Royal among us.
The stars made the list,
But the gals at Blank'Blank felt Royally Dissed.
The ceremony begins at Five A.M
TwentyNinth of April, not on a whim.
Please join in your jamjams, and maybe your mug
For scones and tea as our du jour drug.
The ?flat,? of course, is blank blank-blank and three.?This is where the non-lebrities will be."
THoughts? Missing anything? Need anything to make it cuter? I'd like a line in there suggesting hats, but I haven't gotten that far.
party hardy,

I'm going to switch between BBC America and ABC. Out here, coverage starts at midnight, and since I am not working full-time, I am going to take a nap Thursday after dinner, then wake up to watch, then sleep all morning Friday.
I think the BBC America coverage will be most authentic, but we don't get it in HD, and I want the HD experience for the actual ceremony. So, I'll probably DVR on BBC America so I can go back and get the highlights and watch on ABC.
I'm going with ABC for the network choice because they will have India Hicks as a commentator; she was a bridesmaid for Charles & Diana. She was on 20/20 week before last and I enjoyed her behind-the-scenes info about the ceremony.
