Pediatricians in Kent County

So... we're slackers and have yet to pick a pediatrician. We live on the West Warwick/Warwick/EG line. Any recs (or practices to avoid) in the Kent County area? Weekend hours are a plus, but not necessary. Thanks!

We go to Ocean State Pediatrics in East Greenwich.  I believe they do have Saturday hours.
  • We go to East Greenwich Pediatrics, and see Dr. Akins.  I love this practice (after switching from one I didn't like so much).  They don't group with other pedi's in the area, so when they are on call, you actually talk to and see a doctor in your office, rather than some random doc you've never heard of. They are in the office on Saturdays and Sundays for sick visits, and when you call with a question your own pedi will always be the one to call you back.  They also have 2 nurse practitioners that can help you too.

Thanks for the rec - do you mind telling me where you switched from? If you don't want to say on here, you can PM or email me, amy.l.cutting at gmail.com.

  • I don't think you're a slacker - seeing this post just made me call and sign up with a practice this morning. :)

Oh good, you're making me feel better! My OB asked about it more than a month ago now, and being "full term" yesterday, I started getting nervous about not having one lined up.

  • we see Tollgate Pedi, Dr Zarlengo.  He has been totally awesome towards the girls and very helpful with answering all my questions.
