at 7pm yesterday we found our basement flooded with 2 inches of standing water.
Awesome...
of course this has to happen on a Saturday night before a holiday!
so we are now spending our Easter Sunday waiting for the plumber 5hrs (so far) and mopping & scrubbing.

Re: A very wet Easter
Oh no! I hope you can get everything cleaned up.
Good luck!
Fire it up, Let's go get this thing stuck
the flooding was from the rain, tree roots in the pipes and apparently a crack somewhere. He fixed it for today but we will have to get the front porch ripped out along with the front yard to replace whatever piece is broken...they said 'sooner than later is better'.
Gotta love home ownership!
Oh no!! That stinks!!! Hopefully you guys can get it fixed before the rain starts this week and nothing got damaged.
We constantly had that problem in HW (although not as severe). We never pulled the trigger to have it fixed since we knew it would cost more than the house to get it fixed.
OH no, that is too bad!!!
I hope it isn't insanely expensive, we had to have our basement floor ripped up for a crack in the pipe when we first moved in. That really sucked because it was the sewage line. I would not wish plumbing problems like this on anyone.
