They brought chairs out in zumba?!
I'm confused by the point of this. I have only been to Zumba at one place and have never even seen it on tv or anything so i'm always curious as to what other classes are like and if the one i am going to is on par. I feel like i'm getting a good workout so i'm not concerned about that, but i'm just a curious person.
Re: *loki*
I've been going for a YEAR and I've never seen it before. She was basically using it as something to lean on, put one foot up on, or just sit down in to do some 'ab work' or do things like tricep dips. I was pretty appalled when she said to get out chairs. I don't go to zumba to sit down, I got to sweat my @ss off and keep my heart rate up for an hour.
She asked how we liked the chair stuff, I told her flat out "I didn't like it, my heart rate isn't up." She came back with something about that not being the point, to which I retorted "I disagree wholeheartedly." After that she threw in some pretty high energy stuff, which I kept up with fine, but I wanted an hour of that, not 15 minutes.
There were only 3 of us in class and she said she'd wanted to try out new stuff, but I was pretty annoyed when 'new stuff' meant 'using the chairs'. Clearly she knew the other 2 people in class very well, and they seemed fine with it. I'm pretty sure that they all talked about me when I left the studio since I ran out of there faster than a kid chasing an ice cream truck. I likely won't go back unless I desperately need a class and mine is cancelled.
5 whole feet of unsuccessful decision making
