Re: Weekend wrap-up

  • How was your weekend? Okay, 1st b-day for my Godson on Saturday and the day in with dh, quick trip to my sister's Easter Party for dessert on Sunday.

Do anything fun? See above, not really.

What do you have going on this week? Making a major effort to work out more and starting a food journal.

Any else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Nope. LOL

  • How was your weekend? It was good other than dodging tornadoes and finding out my sister lost her job.

Do anything fun? L and my sister's fiance both had to work this weekend, so it was just mom and us girls.  My sister's birthday was Saturday, so we went to the movies and saw "Water for Elephants", which was spectacular, and then went shopping and to dinner.

What do you have going on this week?  I've got a pretty busy week this week culminating in my half marathon on Saturday.  I'm FREAKING OUT.

Any else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding?  I am seriously considering it.

  • How was your weekend? Dramaz-see below post from me

Do anything fun? Got some shopping in with mom for the house, but otherwise the wknd went too fast.

What do you have going on this week? Parents here until tomorrow, then more bathroom reno stuff

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? I'm already off, so I might tune in, but I have too many errands to run Friday.

  • How was your weekend? The holiday made it go my faster which stinks, but it was good.

Do anything fun? Lunch with friends (and other bumpies) and crawfish boil on Saturday. Church, and brunch with friends on Sunday. After that my friend sent her baby home with her husband and Ben and we also went and saw "Water for Elephants".

What do you have going on this week? Making some cake balls, unfortunately working Friday and Saturday, babysitting for someone else on Friday night but on Saturday I will have Ben and we will be taking my little one to a pig roast with us.

Any else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding?  I am normally off this day but I am totally DVRing at work and watching it during the day.
    I heart Ben!!

  • I had such a low key weekend. DH and I went out to dinner with another couple on Saturday and we went to brunch yesterday with ILs and BIL. Wow...wild times.

  • How was your weekend? My weekend flew by (like always). It was good. We got all of our spare bedroom furniture moved out of our house and into a storage unit to make room for baby furniture. Yesterday, we chilled with my parents and my bro and his FI. We sat on my parents' pier all day and watched people ride by on their boats. It was very relaxing (until the giant storm - which included heavy hail - rolled in).

Do anything fun? If you consider ordering new bathroom sinks to be fun then yes lol. Rob and I went out to dinner together on Saturday night. I honestly can't recall the last time we went out to dinner.

What do you have going on this week? 3 day week this week and next! We have two separate weddings that we have to go to, which require us to be out of town Thurs-Sun for the next two weekends. Rob's in the wedding this weekend (it's in Ocean City, MD) and my "duty" is to sit up on the altar (on display for EVERYONE in the church to see) with the blind organist and tell her when the bridesmaids get down the aisle so she knows when to switch the music for the bride. I would have preferred a duty such as doing a reading or handing out programs but alas...this is what the bride and groom chose for me. Next weekend's wedding is in the Bahamas.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? I'll be off already but I definitely will not be watching the wedding. No interest whatsoever!

I'm actually reading this right now. I think I got the recommendation from Mitzi. I'm only on chapter 3 or so - so I can't really speculate on it too much just yet.

  • I can't quote since I'm on my phone, but yes, I loved Water for Elephants and want to see the movie.

My mom says the book is a lot different than what the movie previews show.  I'm not sure since she lent her copy to my sister first, so I have to wait to read it.

  • How was your weekend? Really fun!

Do anything fun? Saturday went to the eye dr. then to visit my grandma.  Then I got a call that my cousin (who is like a sister to me) had her baby.  She had a girl, Liv Eleanora.  We asked if we could come visit since we were headed out of town for the rest of the weekend.  So we high tailed it packing and ran out the door to the hospital.  What we didn't realize was she wasn't even an hour old by the time we got to the hospital, they hadn't weighed her or anything yet. It was really amazing to be there so soon after she was born.  Cousin did a natural delivery(started labor around 3am on Friday so about 36hrs of labor).  I am so proud of her.  I couldn't believe how tiny she was, 6lbs 5.7oz.  And so content, barely cried.

That evening we spent with friends in Buffalo.  They have a 9mth old who is HUGE.  He's about 25lbs.  But completely adorable.  Very attatched to mom, but a very happy little guy.

Sunday we had dinner with DH's family for Easter and BIL and his gf's bdays.  Also another family friend stopped by with their 19mth old little girl.  She was so cute and enjoyed playing legos with me quite a bit! and loved to sing songs.

So I had a very baby centered weekend which made my ovaries hurt.  But they are all so adorable.  Was neat to see all different ages.

What do you have going on this week? Not too much, I'll probably make a dish to bring over to my cousin's when I go to visit something this week, and also go shopping for some cute girl outfits for the baby.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? No I wish i could.  And right after work we leave to go to Buffalo to celebrate BIL's & gf's bday's and them leaving their apartments downtown.  She closes on her house today and he is moving in with her.  So I'll probably DVR and watch on Saturday.

I loved the book, but it's been about 2yrs since I read it.  I do hope to see the movie at some point.  We'll see if I get to see it in the theater, might just wait and netflix it when it comes out.

  • How was your weekend? Way too short! I had Friday off, but there was so much due for school this weekend I didn't get to enjoy any of it. Up til midnight or later working on a huge team deliverable all three nights, and still not finished with things like the reading. Not real happy about that. We mulched, which was actually way easier than I expected, and we got the whole area done in like 3 hours. But we ordered way too much and still have a giant pile in our driveway. Poor Drew hasn't been able to park in the garage for days!

Do anything fun? Not so much. I plan to make it up to myself this weekend by having a girls night to go see Water for Elephants. I loved the book and am pretty excited to see it. We did have a really nice Easter dinner at the ILs though, so that was good. They're awesome about the limits my school puts on my availability. The're just as supportive as my parents and don't mind if we leave a little eary or if Drew goes to some things without me. Totally helps on weeks like this last one!

What do you have going on this week? More schoolwork and catching up on the house stuff that didn't get done this weekend. And I've got to get back into a normal workout routine. I've been really bad the past two weeks.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Totally thinking about it. A mental health day might be in order. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.

  • How was your weekend? Other than my meltdown Sunday, it was pretty good. I got lots of good snuggle time with Duncan, didn't get much else accomplished.

Do anything fun? Went to lunch on Saturday with my friend--she has an 8 week old baby and we brought lots of Dunc's old clothes to her. Duncan had a ball playing with their dog and laughed the whole time.

What do you have going on this week? I have today off from work (strange I know) so I am hell bent on getting as much as I can crossed off my list. Took Dunc to day care so I can really work. The tub is getting refinished and I'm just waiting for the guy to get here... thus my knotting.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Can't, but it's been set on the DVR!

  • How was your weekend?  Long due to travelling most of the day on Saturday and doing laundry yesterday

Do anything fun?  Had breakfast by the bay in St Lucia before leaving for the airport Saturday morning.

What do you have going on this week? Work, Anatomy Scan u/s tomorrow morning, and possibly a wake and funeral to go to.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Nope.  I can live with just seeing the highlights on the news when I get home from work.

  • How was your weekend? Good and productive! Which was surprising because on Wednesday of last weekend it was looking like all the plans I had were going to be ruined.

Do anything fun? Friday I was off so I went over to a friend's and got all her son's handme down summer clothes (he's a year older than C). Saturday we fixed our closet rail and then switched out the winter clothes for spring and summer - grocery shopped and went to Nick's nephew's 3rd bday party at Chuck E Cheese (gross). Sunday we had a good Easter - much better than last year when I was still miserable.

What do you have going on this week? Bleh, first full work week since the March!

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Not taking off but am considering DVRing it. I'm interested in the details and I'm not sure why it makes me a little emotional thinking about it.

  • I was considering reading Water for Elephants but something in the description prevented me from buying it and now I can't think of what it was. I was also sort of interested in Lincoln Lawyer - I heard the movie was good.

  • How was your weekend? It was great! We were very busy but had a lot of fun. On Friday, we decorated eggs. Saturday was spent with the IL's and then Sunday we drove up to my grandparents. I'm exchausted today though.

    Do anything fun? See above.

What do you have going on this week? Work is hectic. Saturday I'm doing an MS walk and Sunday I'm going to see Water for Elephants. I would like to read the book this week but I don't know if I'm going to have time.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? I don't think I can take any time off for awhile but I will DVR it and probably wake up a little early so that I can at least get a glimpse of her dress.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? I think if I was working I wouldnt... I will probably watch it, but its not that big of a deal.

  • How was your weekend? it was pretty good, actually.

Do anything fun? Saturday I worked, Sunday we went into DC and walked all my favorite exhibits in the Natural History Museum. We didn't do the whole museum like usual... too many tourists combined with my fat ankles = grumpy, sweaty, waddling pregnant lady.

What do you have going on this week? Work! Thursday we have the day off together (I think he's off at least) so hopefully we'll go do something.

Anyone else thinking about taking Friday off of work for the Royal Wedding? Negative. I'll DVR it though.
