Aside from some awkward family moments where my sister and his uncle were debating and his uncle said under his breath "well then I guess you just have to win" oy....It went really well.
Special thanks to Lisa for the amazing Lamb recipe! It was perfect. So I made the rack of lamb, turkey breast (for those who don't eat meat), mashed potatoes, string beans, carrots, pop overs, and for an appetizer a puff pastry shell with a tomato, thyme, and goat cheese filling served w/ a salad. It all came out really tasty!
I spent all day on Friday cleaning and food shopping, then Saturday my mom and I washed and put away all of our china in the china cabinet. I will say Saturday got a little tense w/ DH because I felt he should have been INSIDE helping cleaning up as opposed to outside doing stuff that was inconsequential like adjusting the down spouts of our gutters that wasn't a cosmetic thing.
Anyway the house was cleaned and the food was great! The weather in NJ was crazy though....who knew it was going to be so hot!!! DH is at home...and I'm at work....omg I need a nap!
