frozen dinners

I need some ideas on what I can pre make and store in my freezer. I dont want to pre cook anything (I hate the left over taste). I would love to have a bunch of stuff so on busy nights I dont feel the need for takeout.  thanks!

Re: frozen dinners

  • I usually have Turkey Burgers, Chix Burgers and some pasta sauce stored in the freezer for quick meals.

  • Lasagna and ziti or casseroles freeze well. However frozen doesn't help me as it is always too late to defrost.

I know Rachael Ray has a new show about making your week of meals in one day. Then you barely have to cook during the week. Good luck I will see what others say as well.

  • I keep basic marinara sauce in  the freezer.  I use the big chinese soup containers- one of those is good for 1 lb of pasta.  Eggplant parm also freezes well.  I prepare it in an aluminum thing from the dollar store and you can throw it right in the oven.  Eggplant cutlets also freeze well in a vacuum sealed bag.
