Desktop e-mail programs?

I use Gmail for all of my e-mail needs, but the label system just doesn't work for my work-related e-mails. I want to download a desktop e-mail program that will help me organize everything where I need it when I'm working.

I looked at Windows Live Mail and I hate it. Shocker. I found one by Mozilla called Thunderbird. Does anyone have any feedback on Thunderbird? Or any other PC desktop e-mail programs that they recommend?

Thanks!

I use Thunderbird on my personal computer. If you're familiar with Outlook, it's basically the same thing. Simple, easy to install, and free. I haven't used it on a PC in years, as I'm on a mac right now, but it's always worked well for me on either platform.

  • Sounds perfect. I like Mozilla products so far so I'm going to give it a try! Thank you!

  • I like Thunderbird, it's what we use at work, and yeah very similar to Outlook, but without as many security issues.
  • What are you trying to do with the label system?  I love Gmail, so I would stick with it.
