Well I took everyone's suggestion and saw my primary doc first about a cyst under the skin on my finger. Turns out to by a Gangolion cyst which is VERY common. She ended up referring me over to an orthopedic surgeon and was able to get me in right away. I saw them this morning and we are going to set up a surgery date.
Surgeon said I could do nothing which obviously hasn't helped, she could pop it but it will come back or they can cut it out. When she looked at the xrays she suggested surgically removing it because it's literally sitting between the bone and the nerve/tendon which is why it's hurting. They said it's done under local anesthetic as an outpatiet but I'm a sucker for pain. Luckily I'm left handed and this is on my right hand.
