I guess this mostly applies to people who have the traditional tub/shower combo and smaller bathrooms.
Do you keep your bathmat down on the floor all the time, or do you keep it hung on the side of the tub (hidden by the shower curtain) and just put it on the floor during showers?
I always have kept mine on the floor at all times, but it's starting to gross me out. I wash it w/ bleach weekly but still......
What do you do?
Re: Bath Mat question....
I have a small throw rug in front of the sink.
For the bath/shower, we use a floor towel for several reasons. It matches the other towels and doesn't look like a bath mat. it gets hung up and drieds fast, it is not on the floor except for showers/bath time, I also use that towel to dry down the marble walls (after I have rinsed the shower/tub walls with the hand-held water handle) a towel is bigger than a bath mat.
We hang ours up when it's not in use.
DH yells at me if I leave it down.
He's probably right. It is easier for it to air out, and it probably fluffs it back up when he shakes it out.
I just like to trample them down and buy a new one every few years, but he likes to take care of it and make me take care of it too.
