I remember in the previous post about point and shoot cameras that you both recommended the Panasonic Lumix, but only certain models. Which models you would recommend, or if there are particular ones that you would avoid? I was just looking for some more input, if you had any. Thanks!

Re: **J&R and AmyNic**
Really it all depends on what you need in a camera. I looked at them when my sister asked for a point and shoot rec last sept. There are tons of new models out there from panasonic. It took me a few days of research to narrow down the models for certain aspects that my sister wanted in a camera. She wanted one that she could control manually so she could get some good pictures when she is wants to photograph a patients wounds (or whatever she does) but she also wanted one that was good for taking pictures of a kid. It also depends on your price range.
i know the fx line is highly rated for not a ton of money and that is what I told her to get. This one is on my wish list but there are a few others to that are more money.

I got the DMC-ZS7 - I just looked at the price and was suprised - I didn't pay that much for it. It was in the higher 200's - not 300-something.
