Workers - 2 Stripes Family - 1 (update to poop situation)

I am sure you all read my rant about our toilets being clogged by the workers of our bathroom.  We bought plungers to put next to each (working) toilet.  Problem (somewhat) solved, other than the massive Burger King diarrhea stains in the stool.

This morning I woke up with a jolt - a horrible smell was taking the over the house. Dasher was still at the kennel, so one of the cats had achieved something filthy.  DH and I raced out of bed and sure enough, Niles had crapped in the bathroom. The one being renovated.

Let's discuss the bathroom's status - It is pretty much complete other than tile.  There is this little area in the drywall in the new storage closet that has been cut out that will be a door of sorts so we can get underneath the jacuzzi, if need be.  Underneath the jacuzzi is a massive amount of dirt.  Niles is somewhat small and likes dirt.  Do you see where I am going with this?  I am not sure WHAT he did underneath there but it was bad.  We *tried* - honestly - we *tried* to get all the poop out but it was not possible.  And it didn't just kind of smell - I threw up the smell was so bad.  At first, I felt embarrassed but then I decided that - no, I was not going to be embarrassed.  They could deal with my cat's sh!t because I have spent nearly two years dealing with their's.

Workers - 1; Stripes Family - 1  Tied.

I felt satisfied that we had won the war.

But it was not to be.

I get home from work and there is something odd all over our kitchen floor.  One of those mofos went outside, accidently (I hope) stepped in Dasher poop and GOT IT ALL OVER MY KITCHEN FLOOR. (And I would like to point out - we did poop control after we dropped Dasher off at the kennel Friday before we left for Denver so I have no clue where the poop actually came from)

Needless to say, my subcontractor is going to get a nasty phone call from me tomorrow morning. I have officially had it.

 The end!

  • I cannot believe they are being so careless! They deserve the nasty phone call--maybe you should go take a crap in the toilet and leave it there all night so it's waiting for the workers in the morning. :)

To take this one step further, I am having my period so....I could leave them a REALLY nasty gift.

Yup, I agree. I am completely fed up with their carelessness.  Which means....the phone call tomorrow will be especially unpleasant.

  • You have every right to be upset. I would be calling them too!

  • That's just wrong, on so many levels. I'd be calling them, too...this has gone too far. Sheesh.

  • All I can say is wow. I can't believe these people are being so inconsiderate in taking precautions to not mess up your house. How could not know you were leaving doggie doo behind when you are walking on tile? I completely agree that a nasty phone call is in order. GL!

  • Wow! They are a bunch of careless people. There is no way I could deal with that.

I hate to say this but I did LOL when you were talking about Niles pooping in the bathroom. Maybe he was just tired of them messing up his house so he decided to get even!

  • Oh trust me, I am still LOLing about it. He was SO PROUD of himself.  I swear to God, all DH and I talk about, especially now that we have Dasher, is poop.

"Did you notice Dasher's poop seemed un-firm?"

"Did you notice Dasher is not pooping in her normal place?"

"Does it smell like poop in here?"

on and on and on and on....

  • I had to chuckle at the poop story, and that Niles is a little troublemaker!  But what those workers did to your kitchen floor is unacceptable.  They should at least put something over their shoes so they don't track in dirt, poo, or whatever.  I mean really!

I know what you mean, we constantly find ourselves talking about the dogs poop. I'll normally say, don't give Holly any treats because she had liquid poo today and then DH always says, Do you know what Lucy ate today? I'll say no and he says well go look out in the backyard at her piles of crap and you'll find out!!

I'm glad we aren't the only ones!
