What did you use if you had m/s?
I feel like death. I'm so effing nauseous, no throwing up yet, although I kind of wonder if I'd feel better if I did.
I called my OB this morning and she recommended that I try taking half a dramamine to see if that helps before she gives me a RX for Zofran. I'm not a fan of trying the dramamine because I've read opposing sides as to wether it's ok or not ok.
I was thinking about picking up some of those Sea Band thingys at Target. Anyone try those?

Motherhood apparently has things called "Preggie Pops" or something like that. Those are supposed to help. Or sucking on ginger candies. Some of my coworkers swear by cinnamon gum, cinnamon candies, anything cinnamon.
I felt really odd my whole first trimester. I was nauseated but never to the point of throwing up. I just always felt like my stomach was sore and I'd eaten something to really upset it and had serious food aversions. I lived on bagels and cream cheese, chicken noodle soup, and mashed potatoes and gravy for a while. Everything else sounded terrible until I was 14 weeks or so (and then the cravings set in.)
I was going to say Ginger Ale and plain Cherrios... those were my go-tos

There wasn't anything that really helped me. I also have bad motion sickness and I threw up very often. Snacking throughout the day helped some, but pretty much if I was naseous, I threw up.
Dramamine will make you really sleepy. I wouldn't even try it during the day.
I've heard B6 can lower m/s (my OB said to take up to 50mg twice a day), as well as constantly snacking. I ate a lot of quesadillas because it was all that sounded good.
People told me to try Altoids or peppermints, but those made me feel worse.
I ended up getting a script for Zofran anyway because of my job -- I can't really stop doing CPR to go throw up. Zofran is awesome, but it can cause constipation, and you can't take it if you're *too* nauseated or it won't work. Trust me.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Thanks for all the tips!
Maybe part of my issue is that I'm not eating often enough. It's just hard when nothing sounds appealing.
Screw that. Dairy Queen mini blizzards make a fantastic snack.
haha i would have loved to have that as a snack....but everytime i ate ice cream i threw that up! stinks too because i love ice cream.

Those really work?
I wonder if they'd work for things like stomach flu...
They are working wonders for me so far. I feel 150% better, no nausea at all!
It says they work for all types of nausea, so they may work for flu symptoms.
