**OSU WIFEY**

I am SOOOO interested in your thoughts on the playoffs - have you been watching?

This Memphis thing is killing me. KILLING ME!

Re: **OSU WIFEY**

  • Girl, don't EVEN get me started on this year's playoffs. I've been watching all the games like a hawk.

I can't believe Memphis is 3-1 on the Spurs...the team that, for awhile, was dominating the league during the regular season. Who would've thought the Spurs would HAVE to win the rest of the way to advance?! A huge hole will be cleared in the West if Memphis takes out the Spurs, but I'm not sure anyone will want to play Memphis if that happens.

The Hornets/Lakers series is keeping me on edge. I thought the Hornets would give them sort of a fight [like our series], but they're not just fighting - they're throwing major punches. I didn't think that series would tie up. I really, REALLY hope the Mavs can finish their series out...I'm a bigger Thunder fan than Mavs fan, but I still want them to advance past the first round [for the first time in like, four years].

Have you been keeping track of the East? Orlando's garbage. I thought the Knicks would at least win ONE game, but nope. Chicago series is veeeery interesting.

I hope the Thunder put it away tomorrow night. I figured the Nuggets would win at least one game, but they wouldn't have if...I won't go there. I don't want to rag on Westbrook, so I'll pipe down. Did you have fun in Denver?!

  • I am very surprised and scared by Memphis. A trip to Memphis would be a lot of fun though...but it would be a struggle. Not that any game is easy but we really seem to struggle with them.  And I agree with you about the Hornets - I am pretty shocked about that series, actually.

I have watched some of the East.  We have watched the Celtics games, of course, I feel like we HAVE to cheer for them. I have watched quite a few of the Atlanta/Orlando games - those games have gotten quite physical.

We had a good time in Denver.  There were a ton of Thunder fans there. I was very surprised by their crowd and how not into the game they were.  We had quite a few interesting encounters - my favorite being a guy working in a parking lot said to us "Wow, usually Oklahomans look like they are carnival workers" - I was with a VP and he fired back "Dude, you work in a parking lot. I don't think you should be throwing out insults to anyone from Oklahoma."  The woman sitting behind us at the game kept complaining to security that we were "obnoxious" (we weren't, I promise) so I started complaining to security that she didn't "know the rules of the game."

    Klassy!

  • Seriously? People were like that to you? H has been getting heat from people he works with at his Air Force Base about being from Oklahoma and being a Thunder fan. He texted me this morning and said it's been hell at work because of the win last night. *eyeroll*

Memphis is playing some amazing ball right now - Game 5 will be very interesting to watch, that's for sure. But if we have to play them...they took 3 out of 4 from the Thunder during the season. THAT makes me nervous. Very nervous.

Have you read anything by the klassy Denver Post writer Mark Kiszla? Sports radio has been on fire about him and his writing [which, I'm not happy about either, but he gets paid to do that]...I haven't even ventured over to the Post site to see what he's spit out today, but I probably won't. I just get fired up reading his stuff.

  • Oh, I have read his stuff.  The post on Sunday had some good stuff - I don't usually read the Post so I am not sure what is normal or unusual but fans could write in - one guy made a comment about Oklahoma dominating Colorado in sports generation after generation, stop whining and take your beating like a man - that was funny. Someone else said that even if they had Carmelo, he would be KD's water boy - I loved that.  And of course, the negative items about the Thunder/Oklahoma - dumb.  Mostly full of what I like to call "fan meltdowns" on Sunday. I might venture over there in a bit to check things out....

We were hazed pretty good while we were there. I hope that our fans treat visiting fans with more respect than that!
