Confession Tuesday

I found a cute Easter t-shirt for AJ on clearance yesterday...I plan on taking his picture in it and pretending he actually had it/wore it on Easter.

    ditto this!!

  • i confess i totally bought fun knee-high socks at target yesterday. even though there's no way i'll be able to wear them for probably 5 or 6 months...they were too cute to pass up!
  • I posted Dh's old car on craigslist this morning and put his Google number to it so we can sell it. He's gotten 10 calls and I've gotten 1 email in the short time I've posted it. I feel bad that I've blown up his phone but am so excited that we may sell it fast.

    btw google numbers are awesome.

  • I almost made it through April without buying any clothes after having bought a ton in March. I confess to buying 2 pairs of pajamas online from Kohl's w/ discounts and free shipping. One of the sets is actually 4 pieces, bonus!
  • i confess that i have addressed all of my sister's bridal shower invites, my stepson's graduation announcements and other misc. grad and wedding mailing stuff at my desk this morning!
  • My sister convinced me to try 5 Hour Energy as a way to not drink so many Diet Cokes. It's not a great sub, I know, but because I'm not drinking soda's for caffeine, I've really increased my water intake at work. Usually, all I need is a half of the bottle for the whole day.  As for not crashing, I am more tired at night, but I think that's because it does make me feel more energetic and awake, so I do more things than usual, which makes me more tired at night.

  • I confess that I don't understand the concept of spring cleaning. What extra stuff could that entail. IMO, you should be deep cleaning every other week and touching up weekly. If not, your house is probably not very sanitary. No offense!

I think what most people call "spring cleaning" might be what my household maintenance book calls "qarterly cleaning", and involves washing blinds, washing/vacuuming curtains, moving furniture and dusting/vacuuming behind, reorganizing kitchen shelves, cleaning out and reorganizing closets, etc.

Yeah... our "spring cleaning" usually involves getting rid of clothes we don't wear anymore, other stuff we can donate/sell, reorganizing things around the house - major stuff.

PS: Not all of us are SAHWs who have time to clean as often as you do!!! Stick out tongue

oh I guess that makes sense then. i definitely don't do that stuff bi-weekly! i meant more like deep cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen, etc.

p.s.- you are definitely right. i do have more time to clean. when i was working, this stuff def. didn't get done as often as it should have except when i had a cleaning person!

My Spring cleaning should be called donations. It's typically the time I clear out my closet, exchange winter clothes for summer ones and be surprised when I find something I love but have forgotten buried in my closet.

    LOL, this!!!

  • my confessions are snarky today...

i confess that I think it's really tacky that I always have to bring a food item to my niece's bday party. (everyone does.) i always offer to bring something when invited somewhere and don't usually mind but I think when you are bringing a gift, the host/hostess should provide all the food/drink

what?!? this seems more than a little crazy to me!! when my friends and i get together, we always potluck the snacks and stuff...but for a kids party??

  • Yeah... so.. we don't wash curtains. They get dusted. We (and the cleaning lady) don't move furniture around either. Or do the outside of the windows. DH barely has time to mow the lawn! The kitchen/baths are all kept clean though. Floors are vacuumed. Furniture is de-furred.
  • One of my sisters gave me a Russell Stover milk chocolate bar that had a Jesus wrapper for Easter. I just threw it away becuase I'm a little bit of a chocolate snob.
