That's insane. I just took the dogs on a walk and I'm a mess - I'm not looking forward to this summer at all.

I'm originally from Las Vegas so this is nothing. We get up to 120 regularly now, especially in the past 10 years. At least here you can walk outside without worrying if your shoes will melt to the asphalt.

it's a little too soon for that. thank goodness i'm going to germany next week where the highs are in the 70s!
i started a tradition 3 years ago to get out of texas heat in august and go somewhere more tolerable. i don't think i'll be able to fly anywhere this august with baby on the way, so i'm going to go swimming in my friend's pool everyday.
I'm already over Austin summer, which doesn't bode well for August.
