Stink bugs
Does anyone else on here have stink bugs ruining their lives? Seriously, there are thousands of them around where I live and I can't handle it anymore. They basically tried to ruin our wedding and now I've got them in my car like whoa. I probably kill at least 6-10 in my car every single day; I can't handle it anymore. Although everyone says bug sprays don't work on them, I went out and bought this stuff yesterday and sprayed all around the door jams of my car, inside the vents, etc. It says it kills scorpions...really, I can't imagine a stinkbug is more powerful than a scorpion so I really hope it works. Is anyone else dealing with these horrible things? If not, can I come live with you? My cats are cute and I'm a good cook!

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermWe usually find 3-4 a week in our house, none in our cars yet. They are seriously SO annoying. I haven't tried any method of preventing them yet since it's not that bad. I have heard that they are supposed to get a lot worse in the summer.
Do your cats go for em? Mine does and I swear they make her sick!
Stink bugs are these horrible things...
They came over in some shipment from Asia a couple years ago and pretty much have taken over the area. When you kill them, they give off this horrible odor that only attracts more stink bugs, so I typically flush them. They get in the smallest cracks and are everywhere. They haven't figured out a way to really get rid of them though and apparently they don't have a natural predator...fun fun.
I'd say we probably find 5-10 a week in our apartment but they are just crazy in my car. Today is Day 2 of Xan vs. Car-Stink-Bugs and I think I might be winning. I only found 2 dead ones on my dash this morning, and didn't see any when I went out at lunch. I've also been spraying my car every time I get in it and leave it so I am sure I look like a crazy woman.
Our boy cat tries to catch them, but as soon as they stop moving, he gets bored and walks away, so he doesn't eat them. Eek I couldn't imagine your cat thinking they were a yummy treat; I assume they probably taste about as good as they smell.
I honestly think a bunch got into my car during the wedding. We had our wedding in a state park in the mountains and there were thousands of them, it was horrific (well everyone else says it wasn't that big of a deal, but I'm pretty sure they were just trying to be nice and not upset me). I think with my car being parked up there for the better part of 2 days and people going in and out of it getting stuff, I think a bunch probably got in there then, hibernated during the winter, and are now coming back to kill me.
Ants seem to like our house a lot in the summer, though. Stupid ants.
Though my mom's boyfriend gave us ant stakes to put around the house with poison in them and it helps a lot!
Xan - she usually swats at them for a little bit but they either don't play back or just flutter away so she isn't usually entertained long. Sometimes I see her scrunch back though then she gets sick, so I have to think they spray her or something.
