I'm looking for inspiration for new dinner ideas. Post this week's dinner menu you have planned for your family.
Here's what we'll have (after I grocery shop) this week in no particular order:
-Ravioli with artichoke hearts and tomatoes, salad, breadsticks
-Hot dogs on the grill, corn on the cob
-Fish sandwiches and tater-tots (just like elementary school lunch-ha!)
-Baked spaghetti, salad, breadsticks
-Sausage egg casserole, toast
-Corn and blackbean quesadillas, chips and salsa
Re: This week's dinner menu
We had steak, red skin potatoes and blueberries tonight.
We will also have:
grilled chicken, steamed broccoli, pears
BBQ turkey joes, baked chips, peaches
hamburgers, baked fries, grapes
baked lemon pepper chicken, rice, apple slices
I keep the menu simple. Fewer WW points that way
I don't have dinner planned for the entire week -- I have to go grocery shopping at some point. But here's what we're having for the next four days:
- Leftovers from Easter (ham & pineapple kabobs and cous cous salad)
- General Tsao's chicken with rice and peas.
- Cincinnati chili.
- Grilled burgers and some sort of potatoes
Last night we had a shrimp stir fry. (Just shrimp, and a bunch of fresh veggies)
Other meals for the rest of the week are:
-Bar-b-que chicken and pineapple quesadilla
-Flank steaks stuffed with sun dried tomatoes and goat cheese on top of grits, with a side salad.
-Whole wheat pasta with swiss chard, roasted tomatoes and cheese (haven't decided what kind of cheese yet)
We don't plan weekly menus...
But last night we had chicken/veggies/potato curry over rice. Those leftovers will give us a couple lunches for the rest of the week, too.
Tonight we're having grilled chicken and veggies with a tossed salad.
We also have Jamaican chicken burgers from Making Thyme Kitchen thawing in the fridge for consumption sometime this week.
On my menu this week:
- Chicken cordon bleu (allrecipes)
- Fruited Chicken Curry (Rachel Ray)
- sloppy joes
- yummy chicken kabobs (allrecipes)
- pulled pork sandwiches
- chicken and cheese quesadillas
- Cornbread Chicken Souiza (allrecipes) *this was a new recipe we tried this week and LOVED it
We're going light this week in order to make up for the money spent and pounds gained on vacation. Most of the below will be served w/a side salad too:
- Lentil Soup w/lemon
- Mock tuna salad on WW
- Spinach, mushroom and cheese (goat cheese and/or feta) quesadillas
- Two Bean and Mango Salad
You all eat way better than us.
We don't meal plan so I have no idea what we are eating this week. Going to the grocery store tonight though.
