Grilled hamburger recipes

What is your favorite burger recipe? I love to try new ways to make hamburgers and we have tried a ton of new ones lately, but no real WOW ones! Do you have any?

Re: Grilled hamburger recipes

  • I like adding ranch seasoning mix, but that's kind of boring.

You could try making a Juicy Lucy or add guacamole

  • We add in some bbq sauce, hickory or mesquite seasoning, dried onion, Worcestershire sauce, McCormick's hamburger grilling seasoning, and some dried garlic.  Makes them very moist, and flavorful.  Sometimes DH will add in A1 instead.  We've added bacon bits as well, and once I added Ranch dressing.  I liked it, but DS and DH didn't.

I think my sis adds in chopped mushrooms and something else.  Maybe she'll jump in on this, but it's only 6:15 am in HI, so it might be a while!

  • We love to hide fresh mozzerella or bleu cheese in the middle. Adding a ranch packet is one of the girls' favorites as well.

  • I love bleu cheese in the middle.  My DH seals the two patties together with tons of cheese in the middle and grills.  Then I add a couple of strips of bacon.  Totally fattening, but so worth it!

  • I LOVE adding random stuff in my meat! :) We don't use beef, we rarely eat red meat, and turkey burger tends to dry out, so I'll add just about anything to make it yummy. I love adding a french onion packet -not the whole thing- with real onions and some A1 or BBQ. I like mixing Lea & Parin's in it, a little lemon juice. Sometimes Hy-Vee has patties already made w/ swiss cheese, mushroom and onion in them SO yummy! Along w/ cheddar cheese and bacon.

I usually just dump in a bunch of Weber Grill Chicago Steak Seasoning.

I keep meaning to try it with ranch. Going to file that in my mental notebook. :)

  • We use Spike seasoning.  You can find it at Hy-Vee.  It's fantastic!
  • In watched a Bobby Flay special once and he said the secret to his burgers was adding mayonnaise. I know not everyone is a huge fan, but it truely makes a world of difference. I generally add the mayo, chopped up Jalape?o and the BBQ 3000 spice from Penzeys (but only to the top of the burger). We tried the BBQ Chicken Burgers from Pinkparsleycatering.blogspot.com - they were good...they incorporate using pulled pork in them which made them different, yet very good!
