Have you ever had Mono? Yes, in high school. I got it from a girl on my softball team. I took a drink of her water.

Have you ever had a broken bone? No

Any interesting medical experiences you'd like to share? (like injuries from car accidents, ER visits, near-death experience, etc.) This isn't very interesting but, I've sprained both ankles- not at the same time. Both sprains were during basketball games though.

Have you ever had the flu? Last time I had it, I was 8 - and it was the worst experience ever [after having the chicken pox when I was 6]. I mean, I may have had the flu in the past and not have officially had it diagnosed, but I've never felt that crappy since then.

Have you ever had stitches? Nope. Had staples though.

Have you ever had a broken bone? Nope, knock on wood.

(like injuries from car accidents, ER visits, near-death experience, etc.) I was in a car crash when I was 7 - my head hit the dashboard, and I had this huge lump on the top of my head that swelled my left eye shut. The scar finally fully disappeared while I was in high school. That was scary ish. I also had surgery on my left knee in 2003 to repair my MCL and clean out cartilage. That's when I got staples.

Have you ever had the flu? Not that I'm aware of, but I had some kind of 48-hour flu-like thing last month. It was awful.Have you ever had Mono? Nope.Have you ever had stitches? Amazingly, nope.Have you ever had a broken bone? Even more amazingly, nope.Any interesting medical experiences you'd like to share? (like injuries from car accidents, ER visits, near-death experience, etc.) Brown recluse bite, but it didn't go all necrotic or anything. I did find out that Poison Control of OK is very interested in keeping up with people possibly bitten by one of the things. They'll even call you back to check on you!

Any interesting medical experiences you'd like to share? I have two rare conditions that are not at all related. It's super fun finding adequate medical treatment (sarcasm)

Really, though, I count myself so blessed to be healthy enough to work and enjoy my friends and family!

Yes--I broke my left arm playing softball when I was 8.Any interesting medical experiences you'd like to share? (like injuries from car accidents, ER visits, near-death experience, etc.) My mom had to perform the Heimlich maneuver on me when I was young. I was choking (obviously) and couldn't breathe...I think I was ~10 and it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Also, my only trip to the ER was in elementary school when I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my arms. I had spent all day swimming and my aunt didn't realize I didn't have sunscreen on (and being a little kid, I didn't care haha) so I ended up with serious burns and massive blisters. So, so painful. I now apply sunscreen religiously

When I was in 4th grade I started having pain in my hip area. So there were a lot of tests done (Cat scans, x-rays, even a dye was injected so it could outline all of my body). Finally they said that I had a stress fracture on my left hip. The dr said he was confused why I would have one since it generally happens to people who are inactive and then join the military and begin boot camp. I was a very active little girl who was involved in softball and dance. It went away after I was on crutches for awhile, but it took me awhile to get back into sports after that.

M's birth was pretty traumatic. C-section that ended in me having 3 blood transfusions.

A skate boarder was mid-air and slammed into me halfway down the slope. I didn't even see him coming. His skateboard sliced in between my fingers and blood was gushing out. That was when I needed stitches. It was kind of a random spot for an injury.

Thankfully there were no cars driving in the area at the time. It freaked my parents out so and my brother (12 years older) still doesn't like to talk about it.

I got a fractured jaw from a car accident when I was little. A semi rear ended us and pushed us into the car in front of us. I hit the dashboard and you could actually see my teeth imprints on the dashboard.

Sometimes I will just be sitting down and my heart will all of a sudden start beating super fast. I've gone to the ER a couple times for it and they never know what it's from. But my pulse will get up to 170 when I'm not even moving! It's scary.

Have you ever had stitches? Yep - right underneath my bottom lip. Some little shiit pushed me off the top of a slide (I was trying to go down, he was climbing up) when I was 4. Oh, and I had them in my knee after my ACL surgery.

(like injuries from car accidents, ER visits, near-death experience, etc.) Other than the two instances with the stitches, I've never had any major medical experiences. Even sicknesses - never had anything other than the chickenpox and a cold here and there.

Have you ever had stitches? No, but I have had staples before. I had my gall bladder taken out a few years ago and I was labeled a bleeder so they had to put staples in instead.

Have you ever had a broken bone? Just my big toe and it hurt like a mother!

I got into a car accident a few months after high school and I had one of those steering wheel covers on that had like the groove things on it and my head hit the steering wheel and to this day I still have an indention on my forehead from the steering wheel cover.
