Would you go away 36 weeks pg (driveable)?
So H and I were really trying to go away before little A arrives.
We're thinking to go maybe now up in Maine for a night or two. It would actually only be about 1-1.5 hours away (eating/shops/spa- maybe pool/beach if it's nice out).
Would you go?

Re: Would you go away 36 weeks pg (driveable)?
Oh yes. An hour and a half is nothing. The chances of you going into labor and NOT making it back to the hospital are minute at 36 weeks.
I went to my sister's baby shower 3 hrs away at 36 weeks...I only wish something had happened then!
I'd definitely make sure anything you plan is easily cancelled, as there is definitely a possiblity your little one decides to make a early appearance. (Talking from experience here - I was just barely 36 weeks when I had Amelia.) That being said, I probably wouldn't have taken a trip, even one that close, at that stage of my pregnancy. I was just so uncomfortable that it probably wouldn't have been that enjoyable. Sorry to be so pessimistic.
Amelia is going to be a big sister!

Little A - does that mean you have names or are you just using your last name initial ? ( I was totally hoping for names )
anyways
yes please go away - I think you need it.
I'd go. I was feeling great at 36 weeks, though I was one of the few I think.
If I were you I'd plan the trip, but make sure everything was refundable. You may or may not feel up to going last minute.
I think a little getaway to Maine would be a good thing. It's really not that far, where were you guys thinking of going?

Vikki- that's what I was thinking- it really isn't that far. We're thinking Kennebunkport, since it's really relaxing, there is shopping, food, and spa. Worst case we leave and we're at my hospital in Boston in an hour.
I'd wait a bit more before booking it to make sure you feel ok.
But otherwise...yes. I'd totally do it. A 90 minute drive isn't bad at all.
