Re: So many new people! POLL

  • How long have you been married? 6.5 months and counting.

Where are you in OK? OKC; The Village, specifically.

Do you have kids? I have a 6-yr-old step daughter. She's delightful. Deciding whether we should have bio kids is currently weighing heavily on my mind. We did talk about it before marriage, but both left it that we're open to the idea, and will see how we feel. Lately, I can tell that H would love a baby, but I'm not 100% sold yet.

What is your occupation? I'm the project manager at a small advertising agency. Basically, I manage deadlines, assignments and quality control. Managing creatives can be likened to herding cats, but I love my job.

What is something unique or memorable about you? Let's see... I taught English in China for a year in '05/'06. Chinese was my minor at OU, and I was close to fluent at one point, but not anymore. :(

  • I'll take my own poll since I'm a "newbie" haha.

How long have you been married? 5 years this summer!

Where are you in OK? (you can be vague or specific) NW OKC

Do you have kids? One and one on the way!

What is your occupation? I work 2 days a week and I SAH with DS the rest of the week.

What is something unique or memorable about you? I have a very unique first name. That's dumb, but it's all I can think of for now.

  • How long have you been married? 4 years and a few months.

Where are you in OK? About 45 minutes north of Tulsa, in the area of one of those teeny-tiny towns.

Do you have kids? Nope. Not yet.

What is your occupation? At the moment, I'm a full-time student. Hopefully I'll be teaching 'round this time, next year.

What is something unique or memorable about you? I have the strange ability to be able to put babies to right to sleep even when no one else can.

Do you have kids? Nope, just 4 pets--3 cats and a dog.

What is your occupation? Teacher--high school journalism, yearbook, newspaper, and band.

What is something unique or memorable about you? I'm half-blind, and can never see a 3D movie. Parallel parking is almost impossible for me since I have pretty much no depth perception. However, most of the time, you can't tell that I have this problem. I'm also quite outspoken, as you have probably already noticed here, but as a child I was painfully shy and afraid to talk to my own relatives.

Me, too! I had two eye surgeries when I was a kid, and I can't see 3D movies either. Most of the time I don't even notice it, and I *can* see out of both eyes, my brain just doesn't use them both at the same time.

Hope the rest of the nesties enjoyed their optometric education for the day.

Sweet! I'm not alone lol. I was born with a cataract but it was caught too late to do much in the way of correction. I also had surgery for a lazy eye when I was three, and I definitely remember having to wear the patch on my working eye so I could strengthen the muscles of the weak one...I was always teary-eyed and frustrated! The bad eye has 20/250, and the good one 20/20 Indifferent
