I saw 8 of friends signed up for this today, and I didn't look into the details of it as I hate FB apps that try to pry into your personal info.. but if this is legit then it might be cool.. Too bad, I already have my NKTOB tickets.

Mine didn't prompt me.... I had to click on it. It didn't make me load any special app either?
Hmm, oh well.
It is not a 3rd party app. It is Facebook trying to branch out and compete with Groupon. Just as they did with checkins and trying to compete with foursquare.
Their business model is making money by you clicking on the adds. The more people are on their page, the more they see the adds, the more they might click on an add. So adding features that are similar to established web/app businesses will in theory bring you to their page more.

Awww, I saw it!
I just ignored it because like someone else said, I hate when FB asks me to sign up for something or pull my info., etc. so I just stopped clicking on anything like that and strictly read the news feed and that's it.
