which outdoor lights should i get?

since the board is slow...

my door handle/lock, detail around the glass in the door, and house numbers are all gold. i'd prefer something else (everything inside is brushed nickel), but it would be too expensive to switch all that out. now i want to buy some outdoor solar lights (HD has some on sale for $3.88 ea, or $18 for a set of six).

The colors are copper, brushed nickel, or black. i love the copper, but i don't think it would look great with the gold hardware on my front door. maybe i should just do the black, which isn't too exciting? right now we have a gold lantern type light as well which i'd like to change out. i guess i should just do black for that, too? the ones are like are antique bronze.

Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

  • Definitely the black if you aren't switching everything out. I love antique bronze for inside, but I think I actually prefer black outside now that I think about it. We had all black stuff at our old house.

Oh, and technically you can buy a can of Rustoleum and paint your house numbers and then just change the handle/lock (maybe you can spray those too, but I'm not too sure) to save money. You can definitely spray the lantern if you tape off the glass. Super easy/cheap.

the problem is the door. there's glass that's i guess supposed to be like stained glass or leaded glass, and that's got gold in it. that's why when our lock broke recently i got the gold handle. so yeah, couldn't justify switching that out already. but i appreciate the suggestion! i love rustoleum! the lantern light is old, so we'll definitely get a new one, in black this time since i think me, you and bmw are in agreement!
