Tips for a Fun Goodbye Party?
I'm hoping to send off my wonderful coworker to her new job with a sendoff she will never forget. Any good tips or tricks that went over well that you wouldn't mind passing along?
We have a typical management office of 11 people and she has a designated office. We could go out for lunch too. Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Tips for a Fun Goodbye Party?
A fun thing that happened when I left my last role (similar size team) is that someone organized that everyone submitted a song that reminded them of me or my time in the group, and they made a mix cd of all the songs. Then, at my going away party, they gave me a list of the song titles and I had to guess who had put in what song. It was a great opportunity for me to spend time with everyone individually at my going away party and to have a shared moment about our history together.
Sure, when one of the programmers (who i wasn't a big fan of in the first place) submitted "It must have been love, but it's over now"... well, that one was awkward. And my husband was not pleased.
