I was too tired to calculate WW points before making dinner tonight. I made basmati rice and some tofu. Haven't had basmati rice in a while and it's sort of "comfort food" for me. I ate it. 8 oz (around 220g) of cooked basmati rice.
I put the 8 oz of basmati rice into my points calculator and it is 20 freakin points! BUT I only have 29 a day and and had already used about half of them. BUT 8 oz of brown rice is only 6 points. How did this happen? Whyyyyyyyy?
... Only I finally Googled it, calculated out the Livestrong data for it (cooked) and realized the figure they have stored in the WW database obviously must be for uncooked (though unspecified). Which makes sense why WW db defaults to a 1/4 of a cup serving. Turns out I only ate about 7 points of rice.
I nearly had a heart attack though. :S
