Action Accents?

So, I am again having issues finding a suit that flatters for this summer - I was something cute, but something that looks like a mom at Ashby would wear. I assumed AA would have something since they apparently have tons of suits, so I asked adam for a GC there for mother's day. Now I am having 2nd thoughts b/c I was looking online and it appeared they are geared towards speedos and other types of 1 piece competition swimwear? I don't want anything too athletic, so I am worried I'll be stuck w/ having to buy a suit from there when I'd rather try my luck ordering for VS or something. (Really wish they would take returns in the store from online orders!)

I know I should go there myself, but finding time to run any errands that aren't target or costco is very difficult. For anyone who has been there, what is their overall selection like? Is it mainly athletic style suits? Large enough that I would be crazy not to find a suit I love there?

The Action Accents at the Shops at Roosevelt has regular women's swimwear. They have a great selection, but can also be a little pricey

I agree that they have a pretty good selection. I think you'll find what you want there. If you need help watching the girls, you're welcome to drop them off some day and go browse, or you can drop them at the library for Wed story time and I'll herd the group until you get back from shopping.

I owe you a favor anyway.

Ditto prior post. They are super helpful and have a huge selection. My mom just got a cute suit from there and it's where I got my swimsuit to wear for swimsuit competition at Miss Iowa a few years ago...haha!

I've bought a swim suit at action accents and while it has competitive swimwear it has more casual swimwear like appears on their commercials.

I believe the suit I bought was $130 and it has held up very well for the last three years, however, I don't wear it every time I'm at the pool. I have black and brown bottoms and I just buy different tops from Target to go with those. I probably have 10 different tops.

Great selection. The suits can be pricey but I cost compared the suits I liked online and they were the same price. Only downside I see is there are no returns for swimwear.

Don't worry! AA is great! I love going there to buy swimsuits, especially if you are looking for 2 pieces. It's great because they have sizes, (4, 6, 8 etc.) instead of just S, M, L and you can mix and match the different sized tops and bottoms if need be. The do have a big selection of speedo/athletic suits but they also have tons of stylish one pieces, casual two pieces, maternity swimwear, and all you could ever want for cover ups/hats/accessories, etc. You should be able to find something you love but beware, you may encounter sticker shock. Their prices run a little high.
