I know, it is really hard to give anniversary gift ideas to others, but maybe your ideas would help jump start my brain.
Friday is our 5th anniversary. We are planning to go out to a real nice dinner, but I wanted to give Scott a nice gift also. So far he has managed to ruin all my ideas. I was going to get him a fire pit but he mentioned he wanted to build his own. Then I was thinking of a gift card to be used towards new speakers/surround sound, but a gift card seems so impersonal and there is no way I could pick it out. I have been thinking about a nice watch to wear with his suits. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I looked at watches! Plus I know nothing about which ones are "nice".
Sigh. . . any ideas?
(MB- Last night Scott asked what was the traditional gift was. After I told him wood, I had to listen to joke after joke of what my gift could be. LOL It made me think of you and Brian. )
Re: I need anniversary gift ideas.
What is your budget?
Last year I got this for Nick:

It ended up being close to $30 after the personalization and shipping. It's not the fanciest, gift most expensive gift, but he really liked it and uses it all the time.
The year before that I got him a nice bottle of Versace cologne which he wears ALL the time.
What about Tigers tickets?
Since the traditional gift is wood, how about Adirondack chairs that could be used around the fire pit he plans to make?
Or you could look for a cool wood sculpture on etsy. AW alert - This is what Mike gave me last week for our "wood" anniversary:
Thats cool looking
