Sort of. A friend I worked with when I was 17 brought me to a party to meet up with a guy she thought I'd like. That guy was DH's best friend. We got along alright but weren't really compatible. He introduced me to DH a few weeks later, so I'd say it went pretty well even though I didn't end up with the person I was set up with.

Not really. My best friend wanted me to meet her boyfriend's friend one time, but it wasn't a date. We did end up dating for a bit, but we were in 7th grade, so.... LOL

Sort of. My hair stylist and I are good friends. She knew this guy she thought I'd like so she told me that she would bring him to church one night. He was cute, but didn't really say anything and it never went any further than meeting him at church.

Kind of. My mom met a guy at the gym when I was 22, talked to him a few times, and seems like he called and we went out to lunch. I can't really remember how it went, but I don't think I met him first. I didn't like him much at first because he seemed uptight. We ended up dating for a while and even looked at rings, but then he acted like a jerk on a day that my best friend lost someone and I broke it off immediately.

I actually did match.com for awhile and had several "blindish" dates where i had only talked to them over Internet or phone. I met a few nice guys that I dated for a bit and I met several jerks as well. Funnily enough my DH was sort of a blind date. my mom and I went over to his parents' house for dinner and he ws there. I still say it was a set-up.

Yes, I've been on a couple. One that stands out that was absolutely horrendous was a guy that I met through jdate (I think). I'm pretty sure he drove in from out of town (don't remember where) and when he showed up at my apartment, he looked absolutely NOTHING like the pictures he had posted online. We went to Red Lobster for dinner, then somewhere else to meet up with my friends. The details are fuzzy, but I am pretty sure that when we got back to my apartment I said bye to him in the parking lot and didn't let him inside. I felt a little bad since he had driven so far to meet me, but whatever, it was his fault for misrepresenting himself.
